I was born on October 8th, 1946, and I grew up in West Orange, New Jersey. I show some artistic inclination, but development of that skill set is not encouraged. While an accounting major at the Wharton School, I study drawing, and at Penn Law School, I enroll at the Fleisher Art Memorial in Philadelphia to take sculpting classes.
I pursue a post-graduate tax law degree at NYU Law School, and art fades to a distant second behind my utilitarian accounting and tax law degrees. Yet, over the years, I enjoy the quantitative elegance part of my professional life, finding ways to explore and to build creatively structured solutions for my clients.
I'm fortunate to have a full life that includes a wonderful family, great friends and satisfying career. My wife, Barbara, who is the charitable conscience of our family, has been the motivational force behind this website. She has worked with the charities to ensure a meaningful use of your contribution.
It's a privilege to share some of my photographs with you and to provide an opportunity to contribute to organizations that make a difference. Those of you who may be curious about my other creatively quantitative art may find it atwww.mand.com.
